A PCB space lets you create printed circuit boards in 3D. This space has a split view, with the 3D view on top and the 2D view on the bottom.
The following table describes the differences between 2D and 3D views:
| 2D | 3D | |
|---|---|---|
| Parts represented as: | Schematic (symbols) | Real-life |
| Parts allowed: | All (except mechanisms without electronic aspects) | Electronics and Mechanisms |
| Wiring: | Drag on pads to add wires | None. Wiring is represented by tracks after routing with real-PCB. |
| PCB board: | None | Shown without tracks until routing with real-PCB. Shape depends on which type of PCB 3D space is used. |
